SMART IMPORT · LIGHTROOM CONNECT

From cards to Lightroom.

The easiest way is to connect all of today’s cards with several card readers and import them together. If that is not possible, import in rounds and turn on Lightroom Connect for the last card.

  1. 1Choose where your files goSet your photo and video parent folders. To back up all your photos and videos, set both backup folders too. Then choose a Lightroom preset in Settings.Read the Smart Import instructions
  2. 2Connect and select your cardsIdeally, use several card readers to connect all of today’s cards at once. If you have only one reader, import the cards in rounds. Photos go under the photo parent folder; videos and audio go under the video parent folder, each in shooting-date subfolders.Read the Smart Import instructions
  3. 3Choose when to turn on Lightroom ConnectIf you need to import your cards in several rounds, leave Lightroom Connect off until the final import for that shoot.Read the Smart Import instructions
